Noodles

So I've decided to do some reflecting in the blog. Why not? It was a busy week at school. Presentation in theory (partner droped last minute) and did both lectures in my class on family violence. I also found out I'm employed for the summer, teaching an undergrad course on my favorite topic. So I'm not sure where scout camp stands, but yeah. Maybe. I should get my disertation proposal started!

I need to get ABD before I worry about that. Still have my second comp exam this spring.

Food wise, it's a boring week. I was planning on creating a pineapple curry recipie last night before being lured off to dance clubs by 19 going-on-20 something cuties. *tries hard not to get ahead of herself*

Spinach ww noodles + onion/green pepper sauce = strangly like spagetti-o's.

A month until I go home. My mom seems to be game for the vegan thing. She's like "i'll try anything you make...and if I don't like it, I'll eat a fried egg". She's cute. I think it helps to explain that she was raised on a farm, so I'm not sure she really gets how mass producted food is done. Not that my goal has ever been to convert the world to veg*ism, but it is strangly important for me for my mom to accept this.

peace!

Eating worms...

Well, not really. But looking over the blog I have no comments *sniff*. I could take the spam preventer off and have some. LOL. We'll see how desperate I am.

Nothing baking today. Made some of my grad-school famous chocolate cookies. Despite the vegan-goodness of my baking, maybe people get a glossed over look when they hear talk of me bringing in some baked goods. They say they are good, but I think it is just that we don't get enough homemade goodness as grad students. I don't tell them it's vegan unless they ask. After a bit of time being a closet vegan I've finally started eating more around everyone. So now it's moving from "you're a veggie?" to "you're vegan?" Ha ha! There is soy in that cookie!

I went to a veggie pot luck over the weekend. It was great to go to one where there was too much good stuff to eat! No worries over what was in things, most of the dishs were whole foods and lacked dairy. And the dairy dishes were easy to spot :) Even finished the night with a slice of fresh pineapple and some soydream vanilla icecream. YUM.
